AMS starts using QR codes

In order to facilitate the access to our online edition, AMS will start using QR Codes. QR Code is short for Quick Response code (since they can be read easily by a cell phone).

They are used to take a piece of information from a transitory media and put it in to your cell phone. QR Codes can store (and digitally present) a significant amount of data, including web links, geo coordinates, and text. The other key feature of QR Codes is that instead of requiring a hand-held scanner to scan them, many modern cell phones can perform the scanning.

We are providing you with a QR Code that contains a URL leading to a mobile version of the current issue TOC. In the next few months we will further implement this technology with a sole purpose to ease the mobile access to our journal.
